Jesus Christ crucified, the house of mourning

Ecclesiastes 7:2 KJV It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

A house is a place that is designed to be inhabited, in Ecclesiastes it says: «it is better to go to the house of mourning», that is, it is better to go to live in the place where there is mourning, because that is the end of all mens.

Jesus Christ crucified means the house of mourning because that (Jesus Christ crucified) is the end of all men on the one hand of those who must be crucified together with Him, and on the other hand those who do not believe in Jesus Christ his end is death because Christ Jesus being crucified exposed the death of those who would not believe in Him.

We must take the attitude of the apostle Paul who said:

1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

In other words, by meditating on Jesus Christ and this crucified one, we are dwelling in the House of mourning because we watch over Christ Jesus and observe that the end of all men was to die crucified in a dead caused by sin, our iniquity and rebellion.

But now to Jesus Christ to take our place and give his life, we must no longer go through that death that was to happen to all men, a fatal and merciless death in which God himself would depart from us regardless of who we were because of his son at the time of his crucifixion he had to turn away because Jesus Christ was already sin.

By watching and seeing what would happen to us and seeing that he took our place, a pain can fill our heart but also a great joy to know that he took our place and that we are now redeemed from all death.

Psalm 30:11 KJV Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

And for everyone who wants to believe in Jesus Christ, a great joy awaits him and a Paternity.

Furthermore, we know that by meditating on Jesus Christ and this crucified one we see that the end of every man is this «to die crucified» because we need to be crucified together with Christ every day to take up the cross and follow him.

And for him who has not believed a crucifixion awaits him also because Jesus Christ took the place of all who believe in him, and he who has not believed will be crucified with the world.

Galatians 6:14 KJV But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

«And the living will lay it to his heart» as we meditate and dwell in the House of mourning, we realize that our purpose is to be crucified with him, and that as we enter into the life of our Savior, we will keep this act that Jesus Christ did and keep it in our heart.

Luke 9:23–24 KJV And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
